Out rapper Lil Nas X continues to expertly play the media game and get the last laugh out of every situation. His latest media stunt happened while he was performing at Boston's MGM Music Hall at Fenway.

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, Christian demonstrators showed up, no doubt to protest Nas X's onstage embrace of gay sexuality and controversial religious symbols. Getting word of this, he reportedly told his team to send the demonstrators pizza.

"This is really good promo," he quipped on Twitter.

Then the plot thickened. The demonstrators didn't want the pizza, but Nas X fell in love.

"Update: they didn't want the pizza," he tweeted, but one of the protestors caught his eye. He shared a video of the young man rejecting the pizza while Sufjan Stevens track "Mystery of Love" played in the background.

It was a tender moment in the tumultuous-looking protest. Fans piled on.

"You can turn him out," said one user.

Another simply added: "loveeeee u"

Us, too. Us, too.

And in a full circle moment, Stevens track "Mystery of Love" is Oscar-nominated and appears in the 2018 film "Call me by Your Name." The movie is what inspired Nas X's track "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)."

Whew! Messy, and we love him.

On his Long Live Montero Tour, Lil Nas X will be performing around the U.S. until October, and he will no doubt be ready for any objections to his aesthetic.
