"Jeopardy!" champion Amy Schneider is officially a married woman.

As reported by People, Schneider announced on Instagram Tuesday that she tied the knot with girlfriend Genevieve Davis in a courthouse ceremony in May. The couple plans to have a big celebratory ceremony for the occasion but according to Schneider and Davis they "couldn't wait" that long to be brides.

"Genevieve and I are delighted to announce that on Monday, May 9, we were married in a small private ceremony at the Alameda County Recorder," Schneider captioned three wedding photos on Insta.

The ceremony looked intimate but a big wedding is still coming, according to Schneider. "We will still be having a traditional wedding & reception next summer, but our lives have been much too busy this year to get very far in planning it," she shared. "Thank you, everyone for your support!"

Both Davis and Schneider donned white dresses for the occasion, with Schneider sporting a rose flower crown while Davis wore a similar style in white.

During her storied 39-game run winning streak on "Jeopardy!" Schneider often sported a pearl necklace that was a birthday gift from Davis. Now she will have a wedding band to pair with the pearls.

"[Being on Jeopardy!] was the first significant time I'd spent apart from her since we'd started dating," said Schneider about her time on the show. Wearing the pearls on the show was a "comforting reminder that she was at home waiting for me."

Schneider was the first transgender contestant on "Jeopardy!" to qualify for the Transgender and the most-winning woman in the show's history.
