Maine Restaurant Week Announces Participating Restaurants
Jason Salzenstein READ TIME: 1 MIN.
With more than 90 participating restaurants from Bangor to Kennebunkport, this year's Maine Restaurant Week promises to be a big one- with just as much diversity of flavor as there are dishes. Running Monday, March 1 through Wednesday, March 10, 2010, this year's event will include special offers for lodging, and some restaurant will serve a special lunch menu in addition to the regular dinner deals, both new to this year's Maine Restaurant Week.
Maine Restaurant Week's manager, Jim Britt: "This year's event includes more restaurants, and new events, and should be an exciting time for restaurants and people who enjoy dining out. We will continue to update our website as March 1 grows closer."
During the event, three-course dinners are priced between $20 - $40 per person. For more information on prices - to search by restaurant name or location - go to MaineRestaurantWeek.com
Not all participating restaurants accept reservations; if you've got your heart set on one, you may want to arrive early.
Maine Restaurant Week provides support to the Preble Street Resource Center with an opening night event on March 1 at the Portland Museum of Art and a breakfast cook-off on March 5 at Seadog Brewing Company in South Portland.
In addition, Maine Restaurant Week is working to raise awareness for Share Our Strength Southern Maine, the local chapter of the international anti-hunger program. Jim Britt, Sean Ryan of Native Maine Produce, and Jeff Landry of Farmer's Table Restaurant founded this chapter.
