Joe Carleo will be departing Victory Programs in early May to join the AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod as the organization's executive director.

"Our search process included extensive input from the entire board, many members of the staff, clients, and community members," said David Lund, President of the ASGCC Board of Directors. "We were fortunate to attract a number of qualified candidates; however, in the end, there was unanimous agreement that that Joe possesses the skills the organization needs to bring the agency forward in a positive, dynamic, and reenergized fashion. On behalf of the entire board we are looking forward to working with Joe."

Lund praised Carleo's 25 years of professional management experience in the public and non-profit sectors within the areas of health and human services, HIV/AIDS, and affordable housing, and lauded Carleo's dedication to HIV/AIDS advocacy.

"I am very excited to have the opportunity to bring a new face to the AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod," said Carleo. "The staff and volunteers of ASGCC continue to meet critical needs for people living with HIV/AIDS on Cape Cod and the Islands, and I look forward to working with communities across the Cape to build a strong future for the organization."

The Provincetown resident will take up his new position on May 16. For more information about the AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod, please visit www.asgcc.org.
