Ellen DeGeneres Responds to Pastor's Anti-Gay Remarks

EDGE reported last week that a pastor, who wrote an opinion piece in the Christian Post, accused Ellen DeGeneres of using celebrities, namely Taylor Swift, to court a younger audience to her show in order to "turn" the kiddies gay. But it looks like Ellen has gotten wind of the story and put the pastor in his place.

BuzzFeed reports on her latest episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" the comedian called out pastor Larry Tomczak, who wrote a recent piece called "Are You Aware of the Avalanche of Gay Programming Assaulting Your Home?" for the Christian Post.

"I don't usually read anything about myself," she said. "Unless it's about me being pregnant and then how else would I know? Got to find out. But I heard there was an article written about me and I would like to address it right now."

In the piece, Tomczak wrote that DeGeneres, 56, "Celebrates her lesbianism and 'marriage' in between appearances of guests like Taylor Swift to attract young girls."

"OK, let's just break this down. First of all, I'm not 'married,'" the out comedian said, using air quotes. "I'm married. That's all."

She added: "And, Larry, I don't even know what it means to celebrate my lesbianism. I mean... Well, I guess I do," she said, exploding a popper. "Like that! Yay! I'm gay!"

DeGeneres pointed out that Tomczak criticized LGBT-inclusive TV shows like "Glee" and "Modern Family" for "promoting gay agendas."

"If you ask me, he is watching a lot of gay TV," she said.

The talk show host later added: "The only way I'm trying to influence people is to be more kind and compassionate with one another. That is the message I'm sending out. I don't have an agenda."

"I'm not here to brainwash anyone," DeGeneres said, spinning a hypnotizing vortex. "Attention, youth of the world. I want you to live your lives being exactly who you are. Be true to yourself - the most important thing is to be true to yourself. The second most important thing is that you wear Ellen underwear and only Ellen underwear."
