Palin Custody Drama Ensues as Bristol Plans to Pack it Up
EDGE READ TIME: 2 MIN.
What's a Wednesday without a little Tripp(y) Palin drama?
Newly engaged Bristol Palin is looking to take two trips in her near future: One down the aisle with her fianc, Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer, and the other to take Tripp (her son) far away his father, former hockey hottie Levi Johnston,Inquisitr reports
According to reports, Palin plans to move away from her hometown of Wasila, Alaska to her fianc's home state of Kentucky, and she's looking to take her son with her. Wasila is home to Palin's estranged ex-boyfriend, Levi Johnston, with whom she shares custody of their six-year-old son, Tripp.
Radar Online reported that just a few days after Palin announced her engagement to Meyer earlier this month, she put her Wasila bachelorette pad, a 3,200 square foot, 3 bedroom 3.5 bathroom house with 90 feet of lakefront property, on the market.
According to a Radar Online source, Palin and Johnston's current custody agreement allows Johnston to live with the child three days for the first three weeks of the month, a deal she's reportedly tried to change to four days every other week. Her planned move to Kentucky would require some sort of schedule for separated parents who live far apart, like a few weeks in the summer and some holidays.
To make matters worse, apparently Johnston was the last to know about Bristol's engagement, which he reportedly found out about via Instagram.
"Levi's upset," Radar's source said. "She sent him a threatening text and said if he doesn't agree to a change of schedule, she'd take him to court till she spends her last dime."
Johnston is already in financial troubles. Inquisitr reports that he and his wife have had to move back home with his parents, and that he owes Palin thousands in back child support.
Family values may be trumped by re-sale values as Palin stands to make nearly $200,000 profit from the sale of her Wasila digs according to the Daily Mail.
Bristol Palin is the eldest daughter of former half-term Alaska governor and failed 2008 GOP vice presidential hopeful Sarah Palin.
