Thailand Calls: Boys & Bang Tao Beach

EDGE READ TIME: 2 MIN.

In April 2016, a brand-new gay travel experience, TropOut, will head to Thailand for its grand unveiling. TropOut, a week-long travel experience from April 3 - 9, will draw together like-minded travelers from all over the world in a bid to promote friendly, unguarded and refined travel experiences for all gay people. Couples, groups and solo travelers are all welcome.

Taking the motto of "chill, party and explore" to influence the travel experience, TropOut was founded as a new style of gay travel, comprised of equal parts relaxing in a soothing and comfortable environment, partying with friends and getting out to explore the culture and sites of a new or favorite destination.

For their inaugural trip, TropOut has selected Thailand, with its breathtaking beaches, enchanting culture, amazing cuisine and the open and accepting nature of the principally Buddhist Thai people, as the premier Asian destination to welcome gay travelers.

Up to 1,100 discerning travelers will flock to Bang Tao Beach in Thailand's balmy southern Phuket, where idyllic five-star Angsana Laguna Phuket will play host to the chic travel experience, allowing visitors to relax in a luxurious yet comfortable setting.

TropOut guests will also be offered exclusive access to popular Xana Beach Club and Nikki Beach, with an array of entertainment, premier events and the beats of international DJs to take the party to another level.

However, as TropOut founding director Aaron Zoanetti says, "gay travelers want an experience that is more than just a party. No travel experience is truly complete without cultural enrichment and personal rejuvenation."

To advance their understanding of the country and connection with the Thai people, TropOut encourages its guests to explore Thailand's tantalizing culture and sights by attending a number of optional excursions* including island tours, cooking classes and spa treatments, such as:

  • Walking tour of Old Phuket Town with Monks' Blessing Ceremony.
  • Cruising Phang Nga Bay with lunch on Rang Yai Island.
  • Spend a day sparkling, swimming and exploring the caves on Phi Phi Islands.
  • Take an authentic Thai cooking class.
  • Spa Treatment at Sukho Spa.
