Netflix's new show "Grace and Frankie," starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, will get a second season thanks to pop star Miley Cyrus.
Deadline reported Tuesday the Season 2 announcement came from co-creator Marta Kauffman during the FYC panel at the Pacific Design Center, who revealed that Netflix picked up the comedy series not long after Cyrus tweeted about how she loved the show.
"Let me say, it's so awesome to do a show on Netflix," Kauffman said. "Because two and a half weeks after we launched, Miley Cyrus does a tweet about your show, and they call and say, 'We'd like to do a season two.' So yes, there is a season two. We have Ted and Miley to thank."
The tweet Kauffman is probably referring to came from the "Wrecking Ball" singer on May 25.
Thank you Miley!
According to the show's Facebook page, season 2 will come to Netflix in 2016.
"Your next vision quest is about to begin. Season 2 is on its way," the Facebook post reads.
"Grace and Frankie" centers around the lives of two women, Grace (Fonda) and Frankie (Tomlin), whose lives are turned upside down after their husbands (Charlie Sheen and Sam Waterston) reveal they are divorcing them in order to marry each other.
