Today on 'Megyn Kelly Today': Liars and Dog Costumes

READ TIME: 3 MIN.

Today on "Megyn Kelly Today" Megyn Kelly opened her show by discussing the sexual assault allegations against a number of men in Hollywood. After speaking with lawyer Gloria Allred she welcomed Dr. Phil to her show where they discussed "spotting liars."

Megyn revealed that she named her book, "Settle for More," after a Dr. Phil quote.

"I didn't get any royalty," he said.

"You're rich enough," she said.

They then talked about people "who lie the most." Dr. Phil said we all lie.

"You lie," he told Megyn.

"What?!" she responded.

He later asked the audience if anyone believes they don't.

"It got really quiet in the room!" Dr. Phil said when no one responded.

"They be lyin'!" Megyn said.

The conversation later turned to people being catfished, specifically email scams where catfishers pretend use fake photos and make up stories to get others to fall in love with them and send them money.

"Smart people get fooled by catfishing," Megyn said.

Dr. Phil suggested people who catfish target lonely people and people who need help.

"They start talking to them, fall in love fast, tell them what they know they need to hear and say, 'All I need is money to get to you cause if I can get to ya I'm gonna marry ya I'm gonna love ya the rest of your life baby doll," he said.

"Don't they spellcheck the emails?" Megyn asked.

Dr. Phil explained spelling mistakes are a screening device for the scammers.

"It's intentional!" Megyn said, later adding that if you're lonely you should "adopt a puppy - don't go on the Internet."

Next up, Megyn continued her week long series "Secrets: Telling My Truth," inviting "Real Estate Wars" reality star Hoda Hajirnia on her show. Hoda discussed what caused her to have a severe eating disorder and how she recovered.

After that, Megyn introduced her next segment: "You can't teach an old dog new tricks but you can teach them to trick or treat."

She welcomed New York Times best-selling author and North Shore Animal League America spokesperson Beth Stern to the show. Beth was there to show last minute tips and trick on how to dress your dog up for Halloween. Megyn showed a photo of her dog, which she called "Basha Lasha Puddin' Pie," that was wearing a fake tomato on her head.

"A lot of people like to dress their dog [for Halloween]," Beth said. "I, personally, don't like to dress my dog."

Beth then gave tips on how to dress your dog.

She later told the audience to dress their dogs up for 10 minutes, take a photo for Instagram then "free them."

Megyn revealed she dressed her dog Bahsa as a flapper one year and "everyone thought she was a hooker."

"Who would dress their dog as a hooker?" Megyn asked.

"Megyn Kelly Today" staffers then came out, holding dogs dressed in various outfits. One dog was wearing a pirate hat and Beth got upset.

"Again, dogs do not like things on their heads. So please come over and lets free her from this," Beth ordered.

As the segment ended, Megyn reminded parents to "keep your kids away from the pumpkins... and away from the Halloween candy." She probably meant dogs, not kids.

The next segment was about something called "flat aging," which was confusing and basically makeup tips. Megyn expressed the importance of blending makeup.
