Pet Shop Boys are back with a very very gay-forward video. The legendary duo announced their latest album since 2020's "Hotspot" and released a new video for their new song "Loneliness."
As reported by Pitchfork, the song is one of 10 songs on their new album "Nonetheless. The album is also the duo's first collaboration with producer James Ford.
In a press release announcing their forthcoming album, the Pet Shop Boys explained that they wanted "this album to be a celebration of the unique and diverse emotions that make us human." And in the video for "Loneliness," those emotions are running high.
The video is packed with encounters, touching and tension that is shot beautifully and sensually.
"From the more dance-orientated tracks to the raw poignancy of the introspective ballads, with their beautiful string arrangements, each track tells a story and contributes to the overall narrative of the album," said the Boys. They added, "It was great to work with James Ford, who we think has brought new elements to our music. James has dared to make us a bit more minimal at times and the final result is a record we're very proud of."
