Gay Twitter's Double Disappointment: Harris Lost, and Adult Entertainer Jake Bass Won't be Back

Wednesday morning's election news of a Donald Trump win – with the GOP regaining a Senate majority on top of that – probably struck terror into more than a few hearts. But it also meant another disappointment for fans of gay adult star Jake Bass, who had teased a return to porn in the event that Kamala Harris shattered the ultimate glass ceiling and became America's first woman president.

"Known for gay porn classics such as 'Edge of Glory,' '10 Feet of Meat' and 'Big D*ck Boys,' Bass retired from adult entertainment in 2016, according to his IDMB page, leaving a gaping hole in the industry," Pink News recalled.

Bass, the outlet added, "worked for studios Cocky Boys and men.com, among other studios since first appearing in 2012."

"Known for his tattoos and distinctive good looks, the adult performer was a firm fan favorite," Pink News went on to say.

So it was thrilling news to his legions of fans when Bass made an election day pledge to grace their screens once again in the event of a Harris win at the ballot box.

Gay Twitter reacted with excited approval.

Alas, it was not to be.

Bass was not the only porn star to weigh in just before the election, Pink News noted; gay porn star Devin Franco came out swinging for Trump in a series of tweets that began with a comment on a Nov. 3 post from "a gay guy who's left the Left," prompting both disbelief and agreement among Franco's fans.

While some cheered Franco, others took note that creators of explicit gay content, like Franco himself, may lose their livelihoods or even be criminalized if the plans set out in Project 2025, a blueprint for a radically reshaped federal government and American society, are implemented.

Among the plans specified in Project 2025 is the banning of porn.

Franco's response was a blend of denial, cognitive ableism, and conspiracy theory-tinged thinking: "If you think Project 2025 is real, you're r*tarded," the porn star fired back.
