"Spider-Man" actor Andrew Garfield sent Gay Twitter into orbit when he slipped on a pair of designer eyeglasses during the Golden Globes on Sunday night.
"As the 'We Live in Time' star prepared to read the teleprompter during his appearance, he pulled out a pair of reading glasses and slowly slid them onto his face," People Magazine recounted.
Garfield was a dashing figure in his elegant togs, which, People observed, included "a dark green Gucci suit with a black lapel detail," as well as "a matching green button down shirt with the first few buttons unfastened to reveal his toned chest."
"Styled by Warren Alfie Baker, he also accessorized with a Jaeger-LeCoultre watch and David Yurman jewelry," the writeup added. "On the red carpet, Garfield topped off the look with glasses by Oliver Peoples."
It was all too much when he suavely slid his glasses into place, though. The moment happened as Garfield "stood alongside Kerry Washington as they presented the award for best performance by a female actor in a motion picture," Today detailed.
"And it was truly a sight to be seen," Today went on to say. "As he brought the eyewear to his face, he wore a half-buttoned shirt and made eye contact with the camera."
"The simple move left viewers in shambles as they went to social media to share their thoughts," People noted.
