Pat Robertson Fails Biology: Predicts Gay Extinction

In a move best described as "spelunking into his unfathomable cave of stupid" Wednesday, televangelist Pat Robertson asserted that gays and lesbians would eventually become extinct because they can't reproduce, Right Wing Watch reports.

During Wednesday's broadcast of Christian Broadcasting Network's "700 Club," host Pat Robertson, took a question from a viewer who was frustrated that her ultra conservative church wouldn't allow her to date.

Robertson offered solace to the viewer by telling her that the no-dating policy would cause her church to "die out" ... just like gay people.

"You know, those who are homosexual will die out because they don't reproduce," he said. "You know, you have to have heterosexual sex to reproduce. Same thing with that church, it's doomed, it's going to die out because it's the most nonsensical thing I've heard in a long time."

The most nonsensical thing he's heard in a long time? Talk about meta.

Robertson's advice to the viewer was to "get out of that church" and "shake off the dust and run." Presumably, this is what Robertson did in Biology class.
